Exhibition Opportunities

Solo Show Program

Open to all artists, the Solo Show Program offers an exhibition schedule of small, eight week long shows of varying sizes and exhibition fees, all with a low commission taken by the gallery to process sales. The Solo Show Program offers full spaces as well as individual walls. Some of the same spaces are occupied by the Working Artist Program, each being available to fill as needed.

Working Artist Program

Open to all artists, the Working Artist Program provides a self-curated exhibition and work space with a range of affordable monthly exhibition fees and flexible predetermined lengths of time. Artists provide their own studio furniture, tools and supplies. Artists processing their own sales pay no commission to the gallery. Sales processed through the gallery pay the gallery and the assisting artist a small commission. The Working Artist Program occupies some of the same spaces as the Solo Show Program, each being available to fill as needed.

Artist Representation

Open to all artists, Artist Representation is a yearly promotional agreement with a signing fee. Representation offers artwork consignment listed on individual artist pages on canalstreetartgallery.com. Represented Artists are included in the gallery’s once-a-year New Work show, access to the Touring Exhibitions Program, and 50% off exhibition fees for the Solo Show Program. 

Exhibition Requirements For All Shows

• Original artworks, created by the artist, must be submitted.
• All artwork must be for sale.
• Two-dimensional work must be wired to hang, framed, or otherwise ready to install.
• Three-dimensional work must be delivered with any necessary stands or bases.
• Jewelry must be delivered with displays, individually packed.
• Deliver all work to the gallery packed and wrapped for transport, work will remain packed as delivered until installation.
• Packing material and boxes will be stored at the Gallery.
• Include any special handling or installation instructions.
