Artist’s Statement
“My work celebrates the human body. It express this with emotion, freedom and confidence. I use low-key lighting to focus on the curves, shadows, and highlights of the form of the figure. This draws the viewers eye to the figure and it’s sensuality of form.
This collection of work is intended to display the natural beauty of woman through black and white images.”
- Karl Jacobson
Biography
Karl Jacobson’s portraiture photography celebrates the human form with freedom, confidence, and sensuality. Jacobson’s work with black and white images of the female form is done both in the studio and the landscape. The artist’s use of light and shadow abstracts the body, while the poses and context of his models create portraits of a monolithic form.
