Artist’s Statement
“I take great pride in creating elegant, wearable pieces of art. Macrame' is a form of textile-making using knotting rather than weaving or knitting. In this work I only use high quality materials such as natural stones, crystals, pearls, shells, and glass beads. I start with each individual stone as a centerpiece for the design and carefully choses the perfect color cord, stones and beads that will most enhance it, so that each piece is always as unique as the stone itself. I am inspired by my surroundings, but especially by nature. To create the jewelry is a meditation, and requires patience and concentration. My pieces bring to the wearer a positive energy as each stone exudes its own unique properties. “
