Artist's Statement

Life is a blend of light-heartedness and seriousness, and that is reflected in my work.  I create detail-intensive mixed-media collages that incorporate a touch of whimsy, always leaving the viewer with a perspective of which they hadn't previously been aware.

Biography

There Karpinski began creating collages while at university (not studying art, though), and over time (now countable in decades), her work has evolved from pleasant two-dimensional pieces into complex multi-dimensional works. The artist’s avocation has become her vocation.
