Collaborative Exhibition Works to Strengthen the Arts Community
Canal Street Art Gallery presents: The Canal Street Art Gallery Represented Artist Show at Main Street Arts, on view to the public July 4th through August 9th. This group show is a collaborative exhibition featuring artwork from the Canal Street Art Gallery’s roster of represented artists and curated by the Bellows Falls gallery in the galleries of Main Street Arts, located in nearby Saxtons River. As these two art institutions continue to reemerge from COVID, recognizing a similarity in their missions they work together to strengthen the arts community in the Town of Rockingham, Vermont. To celebrate this collaboration and to support the arts in Rockingham, CSAG will donate 20% of the total sales of artwork included in this show to MSA. Visit the Art Exhibit in-person during programming for: Picnics with Main Street Arts, a Summer of Free Music and Theater, by appointment, and online at canalstreetartgallery.com. Meet the Artists at the Reception on Sunday July 11th from 4 to 6PM followed by Eugene Friesen Cello: The Royal Chillharmonic.

Main Street Arts, an arts institution of over thirty years, is a catalyst for the arts in southern Vermont. A place of inclusion, it provides a gathering space where all are welcome, regardless of experience, ability, age, or financial resources. MSA works tirelessly to offer opportunities that nurture both the artistic and the larger human spirit and to provide a place to explore yourself and your art, find deep friendships and acceptance, grow, and be nurtured.
The Canal Street Art Gallery represents and exhibits local artists working in all styles and mediums while holding an open space where all creative voices may be heard to build awareness, community, and the benefits from a creative economy for all. Important to the Canal Street Art Gallery’s mission is the recognition of art-making as both income and expense to the artist. The selling of an artist's work can have a direct effect on their ability to afford the time and materials necessary to create more. CSAG takes pride in showing art with a wide range of pricing from low to moderate, making the purchase of original art attainable to all collectors including the seasoned, new, and unexpected.
