Deedee Jones

Deedee Jones, based in Brattleboro, Vermont, known for her balance of brilliant detail and experimental texture in pastel paintings, presents new work in this solo show, including ink on Yupo paper. In the artwork titled “Quiet Longing”, the sky is represented by almost endless bright and subtle shades of blues and purples, some almost red, which is reflected in still water surrounded by the greens, reds, yellows and purples of tall late summer grass and trees, cut through the middle by the dark distant many layered horizon of mountains.
