Spring Salon opens to celebrate inclusiveness with art

Canal Street Art Gallery presents: the Spring Salon 3rd Edition, an exhibition hung in the floor-to-ceiling salon style, this year showing artwork from thirty-eight artists. The Spring Salon is open March 15th through June 1st. Join the gallery for 3rd Friday Gallery Night in Historic Downtown Bellows Falls, Vermont, from 5-7pm on March 15th to celebrate and meet the artists. The Spring Salon 3rd Edition presents the artwork of thirty-eight artists including: Jennifer Anderson, Penelope Arms, Carol Aspesi, Debi S. Barton, Simi Berman, Tafi Brown, Len Emery, Jacqueline Evans, Mindy Fisher, Nancy Fitz-Rapalje, Judi Forman, Kim Grall, Judy Hawkins, Sharon Ormes Hinds, Ailyn Hoey, Deedee Jones, Theresa Karpinski, Carol Keiser, Sara LaMott, Su Lin Mangan, Dierdra Michelle, Gail Mickle, Martha Nichols, MC Noyes, Phyllis Odessey, Phyllis Rosser, Roxy Rubell, Melissa Rubin, Gretchen Seifert, Marianne Shaugnessy, Mitch Sidd, Megan Song, Jeanette Staley, Della Thompson, John van der Does, John Terry Woods, Kathleen Zimmerman and Teresa Zuverino.

The Canal Street Art Gallery’s Spring Salon installs art closely together on each wall from floor-to-ceiling, with sizes and artists interspersed throughout the exhibit. At their start, one of the goals of the original Royal Academy Salons was to provide venues where artists, including emerging artists, could show their work and garner patronage. The Spring Salon is inclusive of all art with the opportunity to exhibit open to the public. The goal of the show is to celebrate the abundance and diversity of art created by artists everyday, showing all career levels, experiences, and creative activities from artists with formal, informal, or self study and practice in art.
