Making Gouache Paint

Workshop with Mike Noyes

Tuesday November 4, 1:00 -3:00pm

Up to 6 participants, $45 each

Experience color through powdered pigments and learn to make your own gouache paint. Choose from a collection of over forty non-toxic oxides, composites and natural earth pigments. Learn to combine gum solutions, pigments and chalk using a mortar and pestle. Participants may make up to six colors, additional materials may be purchased from Mike. Paint may be stored in jars for future use. Jars are available for purchase or bring your own. 

Making Cordage with Foraged and Cultivated Materials

Wednesday November 12, 1:00-3:00 pm

Up to 6 participants, Free

Learn to make your own cordage, or rope, with natural fibers while hearing from the instructor on how she grows and forages her materials and supplies.

Digital Photography: Inkjet Printing

Workshop with Len Emery

Tuesday November 18, 1:00-3:00 pm

Up to 5 participants, $30 each

Learn the basics of inkjet printing and papers, starting with a demonstration followed by hands-on practice. Students are encouraged to come prepared with images to print. Includes materials.

Acrylic Gouache Painting

Workshop with Mindy Fisher

Friday December 5, 1:00-3:00 pm

Up to 6 participants, $40 each

Explore the fun and colorful medium of acrylic gouache paint. Bring your own subject matter, and create new compositions with access to the studio still life displays for inspiration. Suggestions from Mindy are a picture of your favorite bug, best friend, zooplankton, or a pet. Materials are provided for one painting, and include paint, brushes, and canvas. Additional materials may be purchased from Mindy.
