I am primarily a painter with a background in printmaking. I like to do editions of work, with the same theme, color scheme, or content. I work with oil, paint stick, enamel, and acrylic. I often will go back and paint over older work and then wipe or scratch to reveal some of the original content. I have a similar approach to works on paper, drawing with pencil and graphite sticks, then going back in to erase and rework. I get additional depth in the drawings by rubbing pencil over textured items, to bring an image through. It can redirect the work in unexpected ways.
In addition to doing landscapes and abstracts, I have worked on commission for portraits, still life paintings and other representational work.
