Artist’s Statement
My interest in photography is a way of recording the calmness in the environment that surrounds us at any given moment.
Biography
Don Kalfus comes from an education in biology, a career as a dental officer in the U.S. Air Force, and over four decades of private practice in general dentistry. Kalfus’s work with photography comes from both travel, and a deep respect for the natural beauty and tranquility of his home in Vermont. Using the camera as a way of sharing the moments which effect the artist on this emotional level, Canal Street Art Gallery welcomes Don Kalfus in A MOMENT IN FRAME Photography.
