About the Show
Canal Street Art Gallery presents: the 4th Annual VERMONT SUMMER GROUP SHOW. This year’s show is opening in the gallery’s newly expanded space on 3rd Friday Gallery Night June 17th from 5-7PM. Celebrate and meet new artists, enjoy live music from Asante, and see new artwork, all in the new gallery space. Free and open to the public.
Canal Street Art Gallery is expanding, and so is its programming. The new gallery is adjacent to the existing location of 23 Canal Street. The expansion will open both spaces and develop more programming for the community. The VERMONT SUMMER GROUP SHOW will be the inaugural show in the gallery’s expanded storefront. This popular group show will now be on view to the public through September 3rd. The SPRING SALON will be ongoing through July 16th. The 4th Annual VERMONT SUMMER GROUP SHOW brings new artwork to Bellows Falls from twenty-three local and regional artists. The exhibit is one of the gallery’s annual open calls to regional artists. The show presents artworks in all mediums, styles, and subject matters to celebrate the diversity and abundance of art here in Southern Vermont.
The VERMONT SUMMER GROUP SHOW includes artists from Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Of these, sixteen are from Canal Street Art Gallery’s roster of represented artists: Clare Adams, Whitney Barrett, Mindy Fisher, Nancy Fitz-Rapalje, Kim Grall, Corinne Greenhalgh, Judy Hawkins, Deedee Jones, Carol Keiser, Jeanne McMahan, Lisa McNealus, Carolyne Ryan Morgan, Phyllis Rosser, Melissa Rubin and Maurine Sutter.
The Canal Street Art Gallery is honored to make available artwork from these returning and new artists including Thomasin Alyxander, Trish Baggot, Judi Foreman, Carla Liguori, Roxy Rubel, Maggie Smith and Martha von Ammon.
